I finally did it! After years of agonizing, afraid it was the wrong thing to do, I finally decided the time was right. I removed all of my books from Kindle Select so that I could make them available everywhere! For those who don't already know, when an author makes their book available to read in Kindle Unlimited, they are in a contract with Amazon and cannot make their e-books available for distribution anywhere else. Unless they're a tradionally published author whose publisher works out a deal with Amazon...

A Second Glance's contract ends today! So, as of tomorrow, the entire Tarnished Hearts series will be listed anywhere you could possibly want to read it.

Of course, there are some hiccups. For instance, Dare To Love got stuck in "Publishing" on Barnes & Noble. I've put in a ticket to sort that out and am waiting to hear back. The links in the backmatter of books one through four are a nightmare currently, and I can't sort them out until A Second Glance is live everywhere because I won't have links to provide until then. And I had to find a workaround to make them available on Apple because their whole process was an exercise in futility...

But the best part? The thing I'm super excited about? Readers can now buy my e-books directly from me! I cut out the middle man and made my books available on Shopify! Why is this a big deal, you ask? Because when you buy directly from an author, you're not paying Amazon, Kobo, B&N, Apple, etc. You're paying the author and only the author.

So, fingers crossed that this was the right move to make!

No matter where you chose to purchase, I thank you for your support. I could do what I do without you, but what is an author without their readers?

Happy reading and all the best! Cara
